¹⁴ Deliver me from the ^(A)mire and do not let me sink;
May I be ^(B)delivered from ^[a]my foes and from the ^[b](C)deep waters.
¹⁵ May the ^[c](D)flood of water not overflow me
Nor the deep swallow me up,
Nor the ^(E)pit shut its mouth on me.

¹⁶ Answer me, O Lord, for ^(F)Your lovingkindness is good;
^(G)According to the greatness of Your compassion, ^(H)turn to me,
